Turn iTunes to a kid friendly app!

KidTunes main window

Power to the Kids

Over the years, music players have been continually becoming more powerfull at the cost of simplicity. Although iTunes is one of the most user-friendly and simple software, it remains confusing for a kid whose main goal is to listen to music. Because kidTunes focuses merely on listening to music through a compeling graphic interface, kids gain the ability to listen to music by their own.

Control in the right hands

Absolutely no edition is done on the music library. All your kid can do through kidTunes has no consequence on your music library, your music remains safe from "uncontrolled" modification. Even the application configuration panel or the quit operation are protected such that your kid won't be able to launch them.

Visually explicit

The graphic Interface has been designed to be an intuitive experiment based on reality. Because we think there is no valuable reason to make graphics pop from nowhere, every graphic change is animated using slidie or fade effects. This gives a better understanding of what is going on and how to interact and also improves the kid confidence.

Installation and configuration >

Or try a Java Web Start demo version

Due to security restriction, this demo version does not allow to browse your own music library, does not make any access to iTunes and thus does not play any music. However it allows you to browse through a predefined list of embedded cover art and navigate throuigh all the panels.
As iTunes is not needed by this version, it can be run on Windows as well as Mac or Linux.
